William Myers Obituary

William Myers Son, Brother, Friend William 'Bill' Myers, 43, died Friday June 25th at his home in Georgetown, CA. Bill was born November 2, 1960 at Stanford Hospital in Palo Alto, CA to the proud parents of William and Susan Kinney Myers of Sunnyvale. His father preceded Bill in death in 1990. Bill Sr., was the one who taught his son how to do many different things like play baseball, work on cars and most importantly the values of life - honesty, truth, hard work and unconditional love for all. Bill's mother, Susan taught him he essentials of life, from assisting in cub scouts to being the one he would turn to have heart to heart talks with. Bill's love for his mother knew no bounds. Bill is also survived by his two brothers Tom and Mike. They looked up to their older brother and idolized the ground he walked on. Words cannot express the love between Bill and his brothers and they both will sorely miss him. Bill also had many, many friends but there are four special friends that stand out in the pictures, stories, and memories of Bill's Life. Steve and Jeff Coppernoll who grew up around the block from Bill and remained life long friends. They played little league together, attended school together, rode motorcycles, went on hunting trips and so much else. Bill Sinksen who has known Bill for more than 10 years. Together they attended many truck meets and spent hours with tools in their hands repairing cars and trucks. They were very good friends and Mr. Sinksen could always be counted on to be there for Bill. The final special friend was Bill's dog Bud, who was known for always being by Bill's side. Bill was happiest just hanging out with friends and family, sharing their love, stories and good old fashioned friendship. A memorial celebration of Bill's life will be held at the VFW hall in Georgetown, CA on Sunday, July 11th at 11:00 a.m. A funeral mass will be held at St. Joseph's of Cupertino on Thursday, July 15th at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers please make a contribution to the charity of your choice to honor Bill's name.
