Dennis Ruzich Obituary
Dennis Joseph Ruzich, 67, of Kelly Lake, passed away Sunday, August 31, 2025, at his home.
He was born on October 30, 1957, in Hibbing to Joseph and Hilda (Rose) Ruzich and had been a life-long Kelly Lake resident. Dennis attended Hibbing High School and after got a job at Eveleth Taconite in which he retired as a heavy equipment operator after 40 years of service.
Dennis loved going to the casino's only when he was winning, and would deny returning if he lost that night. He also loved to fish, ride his Harley, and cruise in his convertible.
Dennis "Pops" to his beloved grandchildren Navi and Mara. They were his pride and joy and would do anything for them. He cherished the memories made including, taking them on rides in the SXS to Bimbos for some pizza and wings, taking them to get ice cream whenever he got the chance. Also teaching Navi to drive the SXS.
He is survived by his daughter Breanna Jo (Michael) Splett of Hibbing; five siblings, Joann Timmerman, Shaddy (Pat) Ruzich, Davey (Barbara) Ruzich, Gary (Chris) Ruzich and Jeff (Gretchen) Ruzich, all of the Kelly Lake area; two grandchildren, Navi and Mara Splett; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Hilda Ruzich and his brother-in-law Dale Timmerman.
Per Dennis's request, there will be no service at this time. There will be a celebration of life and a private service for family at a later date.
Arrangements are with the Landmark Funeral Home in Virginia.

RIP my friend! Denny was my best man in our wedding and we had many many years of fun and great times together as we were growing up in Kell Lake! The Ruzich family is family to me and our family and I'm so sorry to hear of this. He was a good man who was someone I called a true friend as he called me the same. I will miss his humor and wit but cherish the great memories we had as true friends. Rest in peace Denny Kooshka!!!
