LaCoursiere
Gerald "Jerry" Lee LaCoursiere, age 82, of Eveleth, Minn., passed away on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth, Minn.
He was born and raised in Red Lake Falls, Minn., on December 28, 1942, to Emery and Rose (Chatel) LaCoursiere.
He served his country in the United States Navy from 1960 to 1963.
He was united in marriage to Veronica 'Nikki' Keefe in 1967. They settled in Fayal Township where they raised their family. He and Nikki shared 58 years of marriage together.
He worked for 33 years with Erie Mining Company/LTV Steel.
In recent years, Jerry faced health challenges, but his unwavering faith in Jesus Christ remained his strength and anchor. His relationship with Jesus was a blessing to all who knew him.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Veronica "Nikki" LaCoursiere of Eveleth, MN; children, Peter (Joanne) LaCoursiere of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, Davetta LaCoursiere of Virginia, MN, Christopher LaCoursiere of Big Pine Key, FL, Nicholas (Bethani) LaCoursiere of Mountain Iron, MN, Bridget LaCoursiere of Eveleth, MN, and Jeanine (Travis) Fowler of Truman, MN; 11 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brothers, James LaCoursiere of Red Lake Falls, MN and Michael LaCoursiere of Bloomington, MN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tug and Rose LaCoursiere; brothers, Roland and Marvin LaCoursiere; Sister, Rita Perusse; daughter-in-law, Joanne LaCoursiere.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday October 3, 2025. Beginning with the service at 11:00 a.m. and luncheon and visiting afterward until 3:00 p.m. at the Eveleth Auditorium in Eveleth, Minn. A private burial was held at the State Veterans Cemetery in Duluth, MN.
