Heidi Anderson Obituary
Heidi Marie Anderson
Heidi passed away peacefully on Monday, November 10, 2025, at Wyoming Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family -both in person and via video.
She was born on October 31, 1972, in Virginia, Minn., to Tina (Malnar) Elg - the witch that she was (an inside joke that always made her smile). Heidi attended Gilbert/Eveleth High School and later married Paul Anderson on May 28, 1994. From that marriage, she was blessed with four beautiful daughters.
On January 3, 2003, Heidi met the love of her life and soulmate, Lyle Berg. Together, they made their home in Casper, Wyo., and in 2006, welcomed their beautiful daughter into their family.
Heidi was a devoted homemaker, most often found in the kitchen whipping something up. No matter whose kitchen she was in, she always found a way to contribute by turning whatever was in the cupboards into a spectacular meal. Cooking was her passion, and she proudly passed that love on to her children.
Aside from cooking, Heidi was a talker -one who could talk for hours about anything and everything. She made friends everywhere she went, because in Heidi's world, there were no strangers. Known lovingly as "Bubby" to her nine grandchildren, she cherished every moment spent with them. Her love for her grandchildren was endless, and they brought her pure joy and pride.
Please know that our family wishes to acknowledge that mental health and addiction are real challenges that can deeply affect both individuals and their loved ones. These struggles are important to recognize and address early, but they do not define a person and will never define Heidi. Heidi was so much more than her struggles -she was vibrant, loving, and truly special. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. We take comfort in knowing that she is now in heaven and at peace.
Survivors include her partner, Lyle Berg; her children, Emily Dickerson, Megan Anderson, Makayla Anderson, Courtnie (Robin) Viellieux, Cheyenne Berg, Emily Berg, and Justin Berg; her grandchildren, Corbin, Finley, Soren, Apollo, Oliver, and Curtis (Emily's boys), and Stephanie, Samantha, and Cora (Courtnie's girls); her mom: Tina Elg; and her siblings, Tanya (Jeremy) Kohler, and Dana Starken, Anthony (Bre) Starken, Nicole Starken, Kaylee (Dylan) Maki, and James (Shandi) Humphreys on her dad's side.
She was preceded in death by her Grandparents Lubo and Julia Malnar, Dad Bruce Starken, Brother-in-law Ben Peterson, and Aunt Char Olsen.
