Jenna L. Miller
Jenna L. Miller, age 45, of Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at her home.
Jenna was born on August 24, 1980, in Austin, Minn., to parents, Gary Miller and Pat Leloup.
She graduated from Virginia, Minn., in 1999.
Jenna was preceded in death by her father, Gary Miller; and grandparents: Sarena and Virgil Miller, and Lois and Ted Schmidt; along with many aunts and uncles.
She is survived by her children: Kalie (Wyatt) Beckwith of Mt. Iron, Minn., Marie Adkisson (Bryce Vest) of Fayal, Minn., and son, Eli Miller of Virginia, Minn.; granddaughter, June Beckwith; and grandson, Carter Vest; mother, Pat Leloup of Britt, Minn.; sister, Melissa (Andrew) Ortman of Duluth, Minn.; niece and nephew, Lilly and Isaac Ortman; 2 aunts, Diane Joseph and Pam Majerus of Austin, Minn.; and many cousins.
Jenna's greatest pride and joy were her three children and now those special grand babies. She loved those morning pictures and facetimes. She also loved doing her crafts and her diy home improvement projects; always loved to take on something new. She always had a conquering attitude and a desire to keep even the hard things lighthearted.
Jenna Miller Facebook post from April 4, 2021: So I have been going back and forth on whether or not to make this post but I feel if it even helps one person get an early diagnosis it is worth it. I have been diagnosed with Ocular Melanoma; it is very rare cancer of the eye, only 6 out 1 million people are diagnosed with it each year. Early detection can save your vision and your life as this disease likes to metastasize to the liver. My diagnosis is choroidal (mass behind my eye) and ciliary body (small specks throughout my eye) having both makes my diagnosis even more rare. The good news is it has not metastasized!! It is soo sooo important to get your eyes dilated every time you go for an exam.
Unfortunately Jenna's cancer did metastasize to her liver and eventually through her whole body. She fought a good fight. It was always her hope to live long enough to see a cure. Jenna would be so pleased to know people cared enough to send a memorial to A Cure In Sight, Ocular Melanoma.
Special thank you to the wonderful caregivers at Fairview Hospice Care. Miranda, Taylor, Steve and Ann, you are special people! Special thanks to Brittany Oberhelman and the entire Oncology Department at Fairview who cared for Jenna over the last 4 years.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Range Funeral Home Chapel in Virginia, Minn.
Jenna's family would like memorials sent to A Cure In Sight, Ocular Melanoma; and/or Fairview Hospice Care in Hibbing, Minn.
Arrangements are made through the Range Funeral Home of Virginia, Minnesota. To send condolences or to sign the online guestbook, please visit
