John Grande Obituary

John 'Jack' Grande

John "Jack" Grande passed away September 9, 2025, at the age of 91.

Jack loved spending time on the St. Croix River and Pelican Lake. Jack was known for his infectious curiosity. As a microbiologist, he approached life with a scientific lens and a desire to learn more about the world around him. John had a remarkable knack for collecting treasures, and sharing them with friends and neighbors who dropped by his garage for a chat. A true lover of nature, he formed a close-knit group with multiple friends from the Iron Range, and together they created many memories. John's friendly demeanor made him a neighborhood favorite, as he was always ready for a talk and a laugh. He was known by close friends as "Uncle Jack".

Survived by sister Eleanor Jill Grande and many close friends.

Visitation 1-2:30 p.m. with 2:30 p.m. Funeral Service on Tuesday, September 23, at O'Connell Funeral Home, 520 S. 11th St. Hudson. Burial Lakeview Cemetery. Memorials to Nature Conservancy in Minnesota or The Sierra Club.
