Kim Schwartz Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Kim Lee Schwartz, who left us on November 2, 2025, at the age of 65. Born on May 14, 1960, in Virginia, Minnesota. Kim spent most of the time living in St. Louis, MO with husband John and they recently celebrated their 34-year Wedding Anniversary on October 25th.

Kim acquired 2 Bachelor's Degrees, Liberal Arts from the University of Minnesota and Education from the University of Missouri. She was an expert Travel Consultant, guiding countless travelers on their journeys and sharing her vast knowledge. Her love for travel wasn't just about destinations; it was about the people and experiences she shared along the way. Kim had a rare talent for making everyone feel special. Anyone that knew Kim knows that she was not shy about relaying her travel stories when sitting around a Campfire at Sam A. Baker State, one of Kim's favorite places to go.

Kim leaves behind her loving husband, John Schwartz, who was her steadfast partner in all of life's adventures. Together, they enjoyed going to Wineries, Micro Breweries, gambling and spending time with the many friends we had gained. Kim created a beautiful life filled with affection, laughter, and exploration. Their love story is one that inspires all who know them.

In accordance with her wishes, Kim will be cremated, and her remains will be interred in a family plot in Virginia, MN where she will join her Father - Henry Mattila and Brother - Brian Mattila in her eternal resting place.

Kim is survived by: Sisters Candace Sprague, Cindy Marolt, Kelly Elofson, Connie Fink and by brother Michael Wattunen as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Please join us in honoring Kim a shining light in our lives. Her adventurous spirit, loving heart, and unyielding kindness will forever remain in our hearts.
