Larry Maruska Obituary
Larry J. Maruska, 57, of Hibbing, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at Essentia Health-St. Mary's Medical Center, Duluth.
He was born on January 31, 1968, in Minneapolis, Minn., to Jerome and Elaine (Diedrich) Maruska. Larry grew up in Zim and attended school in Forbes, graduating from Cherry High School in 1987.
He was united in marriage to Sherry L. Bussinger on August 10, 1991 in Gilbert, Minn. Larry retired from Ziebart/Z-Tech in Hibbing and had worked at L&M Supply in Hibbing for the past 10 years. Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcycles and was a volunteer firefighter for McDavitt Township Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife, Sherry; daughter, Crystal (Jess) Smith; son, Austin Maruska; grandchildren, Maverick, Joseph, Riley, Mackenzie, Ashton; siblings, Loraine (Mike) Garson, Carol (Dean) Spragg; mother-in-law, Elaine Bussinger; father-in-law, Larry (Cookie) Bussinger and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and other family.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 20, 2025, at Cron-Sheehy Funeral Home, Eveleth. Deacon Mark Skala will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before. Burial will be in Zim Cemetery.
