Patrick Crego Obituary
Patrick Richard Crego, 69, of Soudan, Minn., departed this world on March 21, 2026.
He was born to Paul and Rose Marie Crego on January 12, 1957, in Duluth, Minn. Patrick went through life as a journey with ups and downs but always with wonder. Those who knew him were profoundly touched by his musical talent. An amazing guitar player, he could bring any room to life with the strum of his strings. His music was not just a hobby but a way of connecting with the world around him.
Beyond music Patrick found solace and inspiration in the great outdoors, often escaping the world to calm his mind. It was in these moments that he felt most connected to the Universe and those he loved. Ever the avid inventor always tinkering with electronics, he was a beacon of creativity. His inventions were not only practical solutions but a reflection of his boundless imagination.
He was truly unique and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Patrick is survived by his mother Rose Marie Musakka; his brother Dole (Karen) Crego; son Daryn Ray; daughters Nicole, Angelique, and Devin Crego; beloved nephews Dole II, Paul III, Todd, Bentley, Dylan and Stanzy; numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; his father Paul; brothers Rod, Paul II, David Crego and son Ricky Crego. Though they have since passed, their spirits undoubtedly welcomed Patrick into the next life, reuniting their cherished bond.
Family and friends will gather at a later date to celebrate his life.
