Thomas Florian Ridlon, age 66, of Hibbing, Minn., passed away on September 29, 2023.
He was born on February 2, 1957, in Crosby, Minn., to Florian and Vera (Hamilton) Ridlon. Tom moved with his family to Hibbing in 1965 and graduated from Hibbing High School in 1975. He enjoyed spending time at the hunting shack near Beauty Lake, fishing, rock picking, fossil hunting, hiking in the mountains during his trips to Arizona, roadtrips across the country to visit his nieces with his sister and camping with his brother, and spending time drinking coffee on the deck or fishing from the point at his family cabin on Lake Vermilion. Tom always made you feel welcome, never missed a laugh, and told the biggest stories of his times fishing, hunting, and other adventures. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Tom is survived by wife, Luanne Ridlon; sons: Joshua (Whitney) Ridlon, Jake (Mandy) Ridlon, Justin Ridlon, and Jesse (Amanda) Ridlon; grandchildren: Arizona, Della, Caroline, Wyatt, Arlowe, and Oden Ridlon; father, Florian Ridlon, Sartell, Minn.; siblings: Pam (Dave) Galovich, Crosby, Minn., Marilyn (Chuck) Ross, Sartell, Minn., John Ridlon, Brainerd, Minn., Cathy (Frank) Malone, Champlin, Minn., and Joann Ridlon; brother-in-law, Loren Wesley, Hibbing, Minn.; and his much loved nieces and nephews and other extended family; and the crew at the shack.
