William N. "Bill" Davidson, 82, of Babbitt passed away Saturday, Aug. 6, 2022, at the Boundary Waters Care Center in Ely.
He was born on March 31, 1940, to David and Rena (Schneider) Davidson in Duluth and worked as an electrician in the mines, retiring after many years of service.
Bill was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and Maki-Pinola American Legion Post 535, both of Babbitt. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia "Ginny" of Babbitt; seven children: Karen, Andrew (Jeni), Paul, Christopher, Beth Ann (Jim) McCain, Jeannette (Lee) Newton and Nancy (Pat) Orcutt; 22 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; and two adopted grandchildren, Chloe and Kenny; one sister, Carol McCloud; and one brother, Donald Davidson.
He was preceded in death by siblings: Micki, Ken, Dorothy, Tony, Harry, Bob, Jim and Jack.
Funeral mass will be 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 12, at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Babbitt with Rev. Fr. Charlie Friebohle as celebrant. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church.
Arrangements are with the Landmark Funeral Home in Virginia.
