Norma Sawyer Obituary

Emmett - Lynn, as she was to her family and friends, was born on April 30, 1935, to Howard and Verna (Bassett) Draper. Lynn had one brother, Rex. After Verna's passing in 1938, Howard married Eva Malmstrom in 1940. Lynn later welcomed three more brothers and a sister: Boyd, Neal, Kyle, and Janet.

Lynn married Donald Duane Sawyer on June 14, 1953. They had three daughters: Linda, Patty and Donna. In 1967, Duane and Lynn purchased the Coast To Coast Hardware store in Emmett and were active members of the business community until 1983. Lynn did not retire; instead, she dedicated herself to transforming their retirement house into a beautiful home, complete with many flowerbeds, a large vegetable garden, swimming pool, and a vast lawn that she enjoyed mowing.

As the years passed, Lynn became a beloved grandmother to eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She is survived by her daughters, Linda West and Patty McGlumphy; her son-in-law, Larry McGlumphy; her brother, Neil; her sister-in-law Millie Sawyer; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Lynn was preceded in death by her husband, Duane, and daughter, Donna Bobbitt.

Her love shaped so many lives. These past few years she would end her phone calls with, "Loved you more, that's a given."

We loved her and always will. That to is a given.
