Vicente DeLeon Obituary
1944 - 2020
Vicente DeLeon passed away December 28, 2020 at a hospital in Boise, he was born on July 8, 1944 in Acatic, Mexico to Sergio Cleofas and Juana Anaya García.
Vicente later moved to Ensenada, Mexico where he met and married the love of his life, Silvia. Shortly after having their first child they moved to California and then came to settle in Emmett, Idaho in 1975. While in Emmett, Vicente started working for a little private winery, Ste. Chappelle. Ste. Chappelle expanded to the Caldwell area where Vicente moved his family as well. In 1987 Vicente moved his family back to Emmett and worked at IBP where he retired. Retiring was the best thing for him as he was able to spend more time with his family and the people he loved. His hobbies included gardening, fishing, building things, watching sports, and making people laugh, he even enjoyed Facebook and TikTok. He loved to travel anywhere. His favorite place was any casino.
Vicente is preceded in death by his father, mother; son, Eleno, and other loving family members. He leaves behind his legacy through his wife Silva, and his children: Vince, Sergio, Ernesto, Memo, Silvia, Emmanuella, Vanessa, Ramon, Grisel, Elena and Adriana along with 33 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Vicente will always hold a special place in his grandchildren's lives with the things he would say.

We will forever miss his teasing, his great love, and his Back to the Future laugh. He was an incredibly enthusiastic, kind, loving, caring, determined, stubborn man who got great pleasure from helping others. He will be forever in our hearts; may he rest in peace. We love you El Chingón!
Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at the Potter Funeral Chapel of Emmett. Viewing will be available Monday, January 4th, from 5:00 - 8:00 PM. Burial will take place at the Emmett Cemetery. Tuesday's services will be live streamed on Vicente's obituary page at www.potterchapel.com

I just found out about Vince's passing. I am so very sorry for your loss. Vince used to work for us on our Lucky Penny Ranch and in our Ste. Chapelle Winery. I became close to Vince, Sylvia and his family. Vince and his family were like family to our family. Vince was such a kind and caring man and a hard worker. He loved his family dearly, and he extended his love to others as well. Rest in peace dear friend. I will keep your family in my heart and in my prayers.
