Vicki Chapin Eld

1947 - 2024

Donnelly - On May 30th Vicki Eld, beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away. She passed peacefully in her sleep but fought hard to stay as long as she could in her daughter Michelle's arms. She left with a smile on her face, glowing with happiness and pure love, leaving no doubt that she met Jesus at the end. She was born in Boise, Idaho on June 24, 1947 to Elaine and Ellis Chapin. Vicki had a passion for education and spent many years teaching before finding her true love, Joe Eld. Together, they shared a deep love for the outdoors, animals, and their ranch in Donnelly. Vicki was a strong and resilient woman who faced many challenges in her life with grace and strength. She was a caring and compassionate individual who touched the lives of all who knew her. Her infectious laughter and warm smile will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Vicki is survived by her daughters, Michelle Eld Lowen and Yong Hee Wright, her beloved granddaughter Mila, her sister Gayle Chapin, and sister-in-law Joice Eld, as well as many other family members and friends who loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by her husband Joe Eld, her sister Dorris Bailey, sister-in-law Niki Eld, and her parents Ellis and Elaine Chapin. A celebration of Vicki's life will be held at Eld Ranch in Donnelly on June 24th from 2-4pm in honor of her 77th birthday. The family asks that you bring a memory of Vicki written down on a piece of paper to put in a cowgirl boot in remembrance of her. Vicki will be dearly missed but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace.
