Allen W. Giltner, 83, of Brookport, passed away at 3:41 p.m. Monday, June 2, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 5, 2025, at Loftus-McManus Brookport Funeral Home with Harvey Baxter officiating. Burial will follow in the family cemetery.
Allen was a retired farmer and attended Brookport Church of God for many years.
Allen is survived by his wife of 61 years, Linda (Austin) Giltner; son, DeWayne Giltner and wife Donna; daughter, Lorie (Giltner) Harmon; grandchildren, Shannon Carrigan and husband Bryan, Nicole Giltner, Austin Harmon, and John David Giltner; great granddaughter, Jadyn Carrigan; brother, Steve "Skeeter" Giltner and wife Pat; several nieces and nephews.
Allen was preceded in death by his parents, John "Jack" and Timea Giltner.
Visitation will be held on 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday, June 5, 2025, at Loftus-McManus Brookport Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Bryan Carrigan, Austin Harmon, John David Giltner, Mike Powell, Jeff Oliver, and Dylan Oliver.
Honorary pallbearer will be Brett Campbell.
Memorials may be made in Allen's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
