The night of Sept. 25, 2024, Eleanor Marie Myrick, 86, was called to her heavenly home. She left this world peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones.
Eleanor was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She was a graduate of the Karnak Community High School. Eleanor was a fierce Child of God and all who knew her would agree that the love of Christ was shown through her. Eleanor faithfully attended the Victory Assembly Church in Paducah, Kentucky. She will be greatly missed by all.
Eleanor was born in Boaz, Illinois, on Oct. 29, 1937. She leaves behind her husband, Alfred (Gene) Myrick (married 69 years), her children, Randy Myrick and Tina (Joe) Rushing, her grandchildren, Daniel (Kristie) Myrick and Megan (Trevor) Jenkins, Christina (Michael) Culp as well as great-grandchildren Brian Myrick, Teagan and Eleanor Jenkins, Wesley and Brentley Culp.
Eleanor was preceded in death by her son, Kevin Myrick, her daughter-in-law, Kathy Myrick, her sisters, Verna Heal (Baccus) and Barbara Ellerbusch (Baccus), and parents, Paul and Franzena Baccus.
Funeral services honoring the life of Mrs. Eleanor Marie Myrick were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2024, at Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak. Rev. Gary Derossett officiated. Interment followed at Anderson Cemetery in Boaz.
Pallbearers were Danny Myrick, Brian Myrick, Steve Ellerbusch, Alan Heal, Robert Heal and Trevor Jenkins.
