Barbara G. Gassett

NATICK Barbara G. (Brown) Gassett, 70, formerly of Natick, died Friday, July 4, 2008, at the Waban Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Waban, following a long illness. Born and raised in Natick, where she lived for most of her life, Barbara was one of 13 children of the late Charles and Hazel (OLeary) Brown. Prior to her illness, she had been employed for many years as a bookkeeper. Mrs. Gassett was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Framingham. She is survived by one son, Lawrence Cremens of Westborough; six sisters, Thelma Kerivan of Hopkinton, Phyllis McClure of Plainfield Conn., Betty Garvin of The Villages, Florida, Ruthie Doherty of Andover, Marilyn Fabri of Framingham and Virginia Libby of Framingham; two brothers, Gerald Brown of Natick and Charles Brown of Colorado. She was the sister of the late Joanne Corey, Edward, Robert and Raymond Brown. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service in Glenwood Cemetery, South Natick, Friday, July 11, at 11 a.m. The Reverend Christine Visminas will officiate.
