Barbara Posey

Barbara (Brigham) Posey, age 88, of Framingham, died Sunday, August 5, 2018 at St. Patrick Manor, Framingham. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Richard C. and Florence (Cook) Brigham. Barbara was the beloved wife of 64 years to Earl Adrian Posey. She was a proud graduate of BMC Durfee High School, Fall River in 1948 and a graduate of Skidmore College in 1952. Barbara volunteered at the victory gardens during WWII, along with volunteering at Framingham Union Hospital and an active member of Plymouth Church, where she was involved in numerous committees. She loved singing and was involved at the Central Congregational Church in Fall River, Skidmore College, the Framingham Chorus Society, the Tanglewood Chorus and Plymouth Church for 61 years. Besides her husband Earl, she is survived by her children, Craig Posey and wife Nancy of Portland, ME, Joan Perron and husband Gary of Worcester; grandchildren, Christopher P., Christopher R., John, Samantha & Heather. Also survived by her great grandchildren, Rebekah, Avery, Jorja and Adrianna, and many nieces and nephews, She is predeceased by her sister Constance Schreiber and brother Richard Brigham. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Friday, August 10, 2018 at 10AM at Plymouth Church, 87 Edgell Rd., Framingham Centre. Burial will follow at Edgell Grove Cemetery, Framingham. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, August 9, 2018 from 4-7PM at the Norton Funeral Home, 53 Beech Street, Framingham.
