Carol Lavargna Obituary

Carol R. King Lavargna, 2/5/43 | 5/18/20. Carol passed away peacefully surrounded by family. She was born in Framingham MA to William and Frances C. King. Carol | with her parents and four siblings | grew up in Ashland. She graduated from Ashland High School in 1961, and from there she attended nursing school at Westborough State Hospital. While there she met her first husband Robert E. Bradbury to whom she was married for 12 years while living in Marlborough MA and together they had three children: Candace, Eric, and Heather. In 1980 Carol met and married her second husband, Richard Lavargna, and settled in New Smynra Beach, FL. Carol first became a grandmother to Heather's son Andrew, followed by another grandson named Will | a son of her daughter Candace. A third grandson was born to daughter Heather named Eric. Eric is named after Carol's son, who tragically died in 1995 from a car accident. Carol had a long and dedicated career as a nurse in hospitals, nursing homes, and detox centers in and around Massachusetts and Florida. She is survived by her daughter Candace and her husband Russell; daughter Heather and her partner Rich, grandsons Andrew, Will, and Eric; brother Leslie (Buddy) and wife Pat; sister Sharon and husband Dave; sister Debbie and husband Jim; sister Jeanne and husband Paul; and ex-sister in-law and best friend Betty Lou; and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to your local library or South Middlesex Opportunity Council (S.M.O.C.) in Framingham, MA. Services and a reception will take place when it is safe to do so.
