Christy A. (Richardson) El-Masry Of Ft. Lauderdale, formerly of Waltham died unexpectedly Saturday March 12th, 2011 at Holy Cross Hospital in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida at the age of 83. Born in Henderson, North Carolina on February 2, 1928, daughter of the late Joseph and Jesse (Cannon) Richardson, Mrs. El-Masry spent most of her life in Waltham before moving to Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 1997. Mrs. El-Masry was a member of Oakley Country Club in Belmont for many years and had been a member of the Oak Tree Country Club in Florida. In her spare time she enjoyed golfing and dining out with family and friends. She was devoted to her family throughout her life and especially loved being with her grandchildren. Beloved husband of the late Dr. Moheb Moe El-Masry M.D., and mother of the late Tracey El-Masry. She is survived by her loving children Lynda Burgess of North Carolina, Steven El-Masry of S. Miami and John El-Masry of Miami, her dear sister Anne Richardson of Virginia, and her cherished grandchildren Christy Ann, Erik, Jenna and Sabrina. In addition she is survived by many nieces & nephews. Relatives & Friends are respectfully invited to attend Funeral Services from the Brasco & Sons Memorial Chapels, 773 Moody St, WALTHAM on Thursday morning March 17th at 8:00 a.m. with a Mass of Christian in celebration of Christys Life at Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Rd, Waltham at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Newton Cemetery. Visiting Hours will be held in the Funeral Home on Wednesday evening March 16th from 4 | 8 p.m. Parking attendants will be on duty.
