Edward Reed Obituary

MAYNARD Edward A. Reed, 69, of Maynard, died Saturday, July 12, 2008, at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington. He was born in Lexington, Mich., son of the late Pirl and Victoria (Sasinowski) Reed. A resident of Maynard for 42 years, he was retired from Digital Equipment Corporation, formerly of Maynard, where he was a technical writer. He had served in the U.S. Navy as a young man and in his spare time enjoyed square dancing. Mr. Reed is survived by a sister, Marilyn F. Hawks of Lapeer, Mich. and a brother, Jerald W. Reed of Melvin, Mich., and their families. Visiting hours will be held Thursday, July 17, from 3 to 8 p.m. in the Fowler-Kennedy Funeral Home, 42 Concord St., Maynard. A funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 17, at the funeral home.
