Ellen H. Keohane

Ellen H. Keohane FRAMINGHAM Ellen H. (Dunphy) Keohane, 76, a resident of Framingham for more than 50 years, died Sunday, July 6, 2008, at Whittier Rehabilitation Center in Westborough. She was the wife of Frank X. Keohane, who died in 2006. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Dr. John J. and Helen H. (Hurley) Dunphy. Raised in Jamaica Plain and Belmont, she was a graduate of Newton Country Day (formerly Day School of the Sacred Heart) and Lasell College in Newton. Mrs. Keohane worked for a time as a salesperson at the Talbots store in the Natick Mall, and held memberships in the Ace of Clubs ( a women's cultural club based in Boston) and the Framingham Country Club, where she was actively involved for many years. She was a longtime faithful parishioner of St. Bridget's Church in Framingham and enjoyed league bowling and playing bridge. She leaves her four daughters, Kerry Joan Koch and her husband, Paul, of New York, Kim Ann Eisen and her husband, Eric, of Colorado, Kathleen Marie Keohane and her husband, Howard Swartz, of Belmont and Kellie Frances Rowell and her husband, Peter, of Grafton; seven grandchildren, Peter Koch, Kristen Burley, Kyle Koch, Jacob and Hannah Swartz, Sean and Heather Rowell; a brother, John Dunphy of South Carolina; many nieces and nephews, and her beloved dog, Autumn. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, July 11, at 9 a.m. in St. Bridget's Church, Rte. 9 east, Framingham Centre. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, West Roxbury. Visiting hours are Thursday, July 10, from 4 to 8 p.m. in Boyle Brothers Funeral Home, 173 Union Ave., Framingham.
