Eugene Bertuzzi Obituary

UXBRIDGE Eugene A. Bertuzzi Jr., 76, of Uxbridge, formerly of Ashland, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2009, at St. Camillus Healthcare in Whitinsville. Born in Framingham, he was the son of the late Eugene and Rose (Gabiatti) Bertuzzi, and husband of Gayle (Gaboury) Bertuzzi. They were married 22 years. Mr. Bertuzzi was employed as an equipment operator with the IUOE Local 4, retiring in 1989. He was a past member of the Framingham Dramatic Club and Christopher Columbus Society. Eugene served honorably with the Coast Guard during the Korean War. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Gary Bertuzzi of Florida, David Bertuzzi of Florida, and Lisa Bertuzzi of Arizona; five stepchildren,Natalie Springsteen, Tina Hanley, Sandra Parnell, Charles Horne and Kevin Horne; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Yolanda Bevan of South Carolina, Mary Barnum of Framingham, and Elda Key of Southborough. He was the brother of the late Charles Bertuzzi and Ann Dailey. Funeral services will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of the Matarese Funeral Home in Ashland.

I'm so very sorry to about your dad. The last time I saw him we were both having a drink at the corner of the bar at the Union House. I enjoyed talking to him. My thoughts will be with you.
