Inara Andersons Obituary

Inara G. Andersons, 77, of Medway, passed away Friday, April 29, 2011, at her home after a long illness. Born in Latvia, she was the daughter of the late Eduards and Anna (Kitenbergs) Apenis. She was the wife of Gunars Andersons of Medway. Inara grew up in Latvia, emigrating to Canada in 1948. In 1962, she married Gunars and moved to Willimantic, Conn., where they lived for 33 years. Since 1995, they had lived in Massachusetts and spent the last seven years in Medway. She worked as a cashier at Barkers Department Store and Shop-Rite Supermarket in Willimantic for 30 years and also worked for Roche Bros. in Quincy for two years before retiring. Inara enjoyed knitting, crocheting, traveling, and spending time with her family. She cherished the time she spent with her four grandchildren. Besides her husband, she is survived by her son, Edgar Anderson and his wife, Jo-Anne, of Scituate; a daughter, Andra Freeman and her husband, Dale, of Medway; and her four grandchildren, Daniel and Mitchell Anderson of Scituate and Liana and Daphne Freeman of Medway. She also leaves behind her sister, Ausma Taurins of Toronto, Canada; as well as several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday, May 14, at 4 p.m., at the Christ the King Lutheran Church, 600 Central St., Holliston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Soldiers Cemetery, Latvian Assoc. Dagavas Vanasi, ASV Inc. Margers Caune, ASV, 6916 Winona Drive, Indianapolis, IN 46236. Arrangements are under the care of the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston.
