Lois Grindle

Lois M. (Martin) Grindle, 82, of Gardner, died peacefully Monday morning, September 3, 2012, in Legend Center Gardner surrounded by her loving family. Lois was born in Somerville, MA, September 19, 1929, the daughter of the late Percy A. and Marion E. (Kennedy) Martin, and lived in Framingham and Ashland most of her life before moving to Gardner 19 years ago. Her beloved husband Leamon C. Grindle died in 1995. Lois worked as a nurses aide for 25 years with the Framingham Union Hospital, Framingham. She is a graduate of Brooksville High School in Brooksville Maine. In her spare time, Lois enjoyed reading, animals, especially her beloved pets, and spending time outdoors. Lois greatest joy was all the time she spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. To all who knew and loved Lois, she will be sadly missed. Lois is survived by five children, Jean M. Cook and her husband Dennis of Gardner, Betty A. Grindle of Framingham, David L. Grindle and his wife Donna of Grafton, Linda M. Talbourdet and her husband Robert of Leominster, and Sally A. Borden and her husband Harold Rusty Borden III of Johnstown, NY, 12 grandchildren; Tina M. Sevigny and her husband Richard of Winchendon, Michael D. MacKenzie and his wife Amanda of Winchendon, Tracy A. Survilas and her husband Jason of Winthrop, Jason A. Cook of WInchendon, Reinaldo Valdes of Framingham, Sophia Valdes of Framingham, Christopher D. Grindle of Charlotte, NC, Lisa M. Grindle of Grafton, Lee Talbourdet of Leominster, Lauren M. Talbourdet of Leominster, Amanda K. Borden of Johnstown, NY, and Eric H. Borden of Gardner, MA, and 12 great-grandchildren. At Lois request funeral services are private and at the convenience of the family.
