Marlene and I were best friends during middle school and high school at Framingham North. We often slept over each others homes and were driven by her mom a few times to Plum Island and Salisbury Beach. She and I lost contact until a few years ago when we bumped into each other right before our 30th high school reunion. She will be deeply missed.

I haven't been able to get Marlene out of my mind since I heard the sad news about her passing. She was a great person - always a smile on her face and a twinkle in her eye. I worked with her at Raytheon for many years and she was "one of the good ones". I will never forget her. My deepest sympathies go out to her family and all of her friends. We'll miss her terribly.

My prayers and condolences to Marlene's family and friends, I vacationed with Marlene and loved her twinkling smile and kind personality. She laughed easily and will be sadly missed. May "Marls" feel God's loving embrace and enjoy his peace and pure joy.

My condolences go out to the McDermott family, especially Marlene's brothers, Henry and Mark. Having worked with Marlene for over fourteen years she was a delight to work with. She had a unique way of making my life so much easier than it might otherwise have been. She was a true professional and yet always had a warm smile for everyone. There is a special place in heavens tennis hall of fame waiting for her.
