Minerva Grace Warila

MAYNARD Minerva Grace (Carbary) Warila, 95, of Maynard, died Sunday, Dec. 07, 2008, at Sudbury Pines Extended Care in Sudbury. She was born in Cambridge, daughter of the late Clarence and Minerva (Morash) Carbary. A resident of Maynard for most of her life, she was the widow of Olavi "Swat" Warila, who died in 1984, after 50 years of marriage. She leaves two daughters, Virginia Sluyski of Maynard, and Nancy J. Warila of Hudson; two sons, Bruce Warila of Hudson and Oliver Robert Warila of Lenore, N.C.; two sisters, Marguerite Nyholm of Oregon and June Johnson of Pennsylvania; two brothers, Charles Carbary of Texas and Arthur Carbary of Arizona; and grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren numbering over 100. She was predeceased by a son, Charles H. Warila, and five brothers, Lawrence, Charles, George, Edward and Leonard Carbary. Funeral services will take placeTuesday, Dec. 9, at 11a.m., at the Fowler-Kennedy Funeral Home, 42 Concord St., Maynard. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Maynard. Visiting hours are Tuesday, Dec. 9, 9 to 11 a.m., prior to the service.
