Nancy Casavant Obituary

Nancy A. (Paul) Casavant, age 56,a lifelong resident of Natick, died on Monday morning, January 23, 2012, at Brigham & Women's Hospital, after a courageous battle with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia. Born on May 26, 1955, she was a daughter of Ann E. (Dunbar) Paul of Natick and the late Robert W. Paul. Nancy was a 1973 graduate of Natick High School. Nancy began her long career with the Natick Public Schools working in the office at Kennedy Junior High School. In 1984 she transferred to the School Department's offices at the Natick Town Hall where she has since been employed as the Administrative Assistant to Human Resources. A loving wife and mother, Nancy was happiest surrounded by family. She liked spending time on her computer and enjoyed new technologies. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 33 years, Robert C. Casavant ; their daughter, Katie Jean Casavant of Shrewsbury; a sister, Sandy Jean Weston and her husband Larry of Scottsdale, AZ; a brother, William Hoit Paul and his wife Patricia of North Smithfield, RI; a sister-in-law, Denise Casavant of Natick; two brothers-in-law, Paul Casavant and his wife Nelda of Ashland, and Donald Wigglesworth of Douglas; and several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by a brother, Robert E. Paul. A Memorial Service will be held at the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common, Natick, on Tuesday, January 31st at 11:00a.m. Visiting hours will be on Monday, 4 - 7p.m. Donations in Nancy's memory may be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Research Institute, 10 Brookline Place West, Brookline, MA 02445.
