Peter Lawrence Obituary

Peter Lawrence STOW Peter Dunbar Lawrence, 74, of Stow, died Friday, Nov. 28, 2008, at his daughters home in Westminster after an illness. He was the husband of the late Caroline (Sibley) Lawrence. He leaves four children, Charles K. Lawrence of Fremont, Calif., Barbara Lawrence of Northfield, N.H., Jean L. Couture of Westminster, with whom he lived, and David Lawrence of Memphis, Tenn.; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Joan Cizek of Virginia and Sue Yankowski of Wisconsin. Peter was predeceased by a brother, Ted Lawrence. Peter was born in Syracuse, N.Y., on Nov. 12, 1935, a son of the late Charles K. and Ruth (Purvis) Lawrence. He lived in Stow for 35 years, and lived in Westminster for the past year. He worked for Digital Equipment Corporation as an electrical engineer for many years. He served in theU.S. Army. He was a graduate of Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine, and was a loving father and grandfather. Funeral services and burial will be private. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Peters name to the Jimmy Fund, 10 Brookline Place, Brookline, MA 02445. The Westminster Chapel of the Sawyer-Miller-Masciarelli Funeral Homes, 123 Main St., Westminster, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
