Raymond Quinn Obituary

MARLBOROUGH Raymond R. Quinn Sr., 80, of Marlborough, formerly of Hudson, died Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2008, at Bolton Manor Nursing Home in Marlborough. He was the husband of June (Helmuth) Quinn for 58 years. Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Joseph and Agnes (Fayne) Quinn. Before his retirement, he was a longtime employee of General Motors assembly plant in Framingham. He was a member of St. Mathias Church in Marlborough and a life member of Malden Lodge of Elks. He served in both the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Army. Besides his wife, he is survived by four sons, Robert Quinn and his wife, Susan, of Charlton, Raymond Quinn Jr. and his wife, Deborah, of Auburn, Stephen Quinn of Marlborough and Harold Quinn of Hudson; one daughter, Eileen Figueira of Hudson; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, Nov. 10, at 10 a.m. at St. Matthias Church, 409 Hemenway St., Marlborough. Burial will follow in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Hudson. Calling hours are Sunday, Nov. 9, from 4 to 7 p.m., at Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home Inc., 50 Central St., Hudson. In lieu of flowers, donations in Raymond's name may be made to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1818, Memphis, TN 38101-9903.
