Sister Rita Igo

BOSTON Sister Rita Igo, CSJ (Sister Evangelist), a beloved member of the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Boston for 75 years, died Friday, Nov. 14, 2008. Daughter of the late Bernard and Susan (OLeary) Igo, she was the sister of the late Anna and Beatrice. Formerly missioned as a principal at St. Joseph, Amesbury, she was a teacher at Immaculate Conception, Everett; Walnut Park School, Newton; St. Ann and St. William, Dorchester; and St. Columbkille, Brighton. Visiting hours at Holy Spirit Chapel, Bethany Health Care Center, 97 Bethany Road, Framingham, are Monday, Nov. 17, from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Vigil Service is at 6 p.m., followed by the funeral Mass. Prayers of Final Commendation at Bethany are Tuesday, Nov. 18, at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Natick. Arrangements by Norton Funeral Home, Framingham.
