Robert Learmonth Obituary

Robert A. Learmonth, 93 of Framingham, died Saturday, January 12, 2019 in Wachusett Manor Nursing Home, Gardner, MA. He was born in Medford, MA, on November 10, 1925, the son of the late John and the late Helen (Chalmers) Learmonth. He grew up in West Newton and graduated from Newton High School. Mr. Learmonth was a veteran of World War II serving in the Army Air Corps. He was a sales manager for the Reece Corporation in Waltham for 31 years working in New York City and New England. He was an avid golfer. He leaves two sons; Gerald P. Learmonth and his wife Karyl of Gardner, Robert A. Learmonth, Jr. of Gardner; his longtime companion of 30 years, Eleanor Downey of Framingham; one brother, Jack Learmonth of New Hampshire; two grandchildren, Phillip Learmonth and his fia- nce Kimberly Olmilla; Jordan Learmonth. He was predeceased by his wife of 28 years, Patricia (Phillips) Learmonth who passed in 1980, and by his sister, Barbara Hall. Funeral services will be private.
