Rolf V. Borglund

Rolf V. Borglund, 79, of Marlborough, formerly of Worcester, died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday (July 4, 2012). He leaves his wife of 20 years Carol A. (Nystrom) Borglund. His children Robert Borglund and his wife Barbara of R.I., Diane Borglund of Cape Cod, Douglas Quinan of Worcester, Michele (Quinan) Barr and her husband Keith of Co and Debbie Quinan of CA. Also leaves a brother Kenneth Borglund of Millbury and 7 grandchildren. He was born in Worcester son of the late Ivar and Esther (Nelson) Borglund and has lived in Marlborough for many years. He graduated from Worcester Trade School and was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. He was a machinist for over 15 years at Anderson Corp. of Worcester until his retirement and previously worked for over 25 years as a toolmaker at the Millbury Wire Co. He was a very active member of the American Legion Post 132 of Marlborough and also was a member of the ITAM War Veterans Post 45 of Marlborough and a member of the V.F.W. Post in Bourne, MA. He was an avid fisherman and one of the oldest members of the Worcester Surf Casting Club (60 yrs. plus). Calling hours at the John P. Rowe Funeral Home Inc., 57 Main St., Marlborough are Monday (July 9, 2012) from 4 to 7 P.M. Services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in All Faith Cemetery in Worcester.
