Mr. Burke,
Sir, as a fellow Marine I would just like to say thank you for your years of dedicated service and sacrifice-first for our Country when you served in the USMC during WW II and secondly for the citizens of Natick when you served with the NPD. It was the history and accomplishments made by you and your fellow Marines during the War that all of us Marines who followed in your footsteps have always tried to live up to. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

Our friendship with Mickey goes back sixty years or so. We double dated; he was an usher at our wedding; and he was godfather to one of our sons. He and Gordon served on the Natick police force together for many years. We have wonderful memories of Mickey. He was a loyal, faithful friend and we will miss him. Our hearts and prayers go out to Mary and his family.
