Albert Allen Obituary

PIQUA - Albert J. Allen, 71, of Piqua, passed away at 1:50 a.m. Saturday, October 23, 2021 at the Upper Valley Medical Center. He was born June 30, 1950 in Knox County, Kentucky to the late Albert and Gladys (Vaughn) Allen. He married Lawayna J. Popp August 18, 1973 in Knox County, a relationship that spanned over five decades; and she survives.

Other survivors include a son, Albert W. (Kristi) Allen of Piqua; a daughter, Helen Allen of Piqua; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; eight brothers and three sisters. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jennifer Allen Bradley, a brother and a sister.

Mr. Allen was an accomplished mechanic and construction worker throughout Miami County. He enjoyed working on cars and loved his family. He will be remembered for being a simple man who will be deeply missed by his loving family and many friends.

A time to honor his life is planned from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Friday, October 29, 2021 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to one's favorite charity.
