PIQUA - Alma L. Stahl, 104, of Piqua, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, in the Hospice of Dayton. She was born on July 30th, 1921, in Thackery, Ohio to Andrew and Susie (Shaffer) Smith.
She was a devoted member of the Fletcher United Methodist Church and was actively involved with the Troy Senior Citizens, the Sidney Eagles, and the Tri-County Social Singles Club. She was a frequent visitor of the YMCA, as maintaining her health and wellness was very important to her. She worked in assembly for Copeland Corporation, where she proudly retired after more than 25 years of dedicated service. She was also known for being an exceptional cook, and her meals were cherished by all who knew her.
She is survived by her brother, Garnard Smith; nephews Richard (Babbie) Karnehm, Mark (Jean) Karnehm, Ron (Debi) Karnehm, Gary Karnehm, Stewart Karnehm, Kevin Karnehm.
She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Norma (Bob) Karnehm; Herman Smith; Sister-in-law Imogene Smith; niece Sharon Ann Smith; nephews, Terry Smith and Michael Smith; great nephews, Cody & Cameron Karnehm.
Funeral service will be held at 12 P.M. on December 1, 2025, in Suber Shively & Vernon Funeral Home, Fletcher Ohio, with Pastor Tina Fox officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Miami Memorial Park, Covington Ohio. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Ohio's Hospice, 3230 N. County Rd. 25A Troy, OH 45373. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.vernonfh.com.
