August Boyer Obituary
TROY -- August Herman Boyer, age 83 of Troy, passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2021 at Koester Pavilion, Troy. He was born on October 19, 1937 in Tipp City, OH to the late William and Ivy (nee Berry) Boyer.
In addition to his parents, August is preceded in death by eleven siblings.
Those left to cherish August's memory include his loving wife of 62 years, Lois Boyer; two daughters, Brenda (Lawrence) Ginn of Troy and Lisa Boyer of Minster, OH; two sons, Scott A. Boyer and Rodney (Rita) Boyer, both of Troy; one sister, Betty (Lowell) Trostel of Troy; and four grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
August graduated from Tipp City High School. He retired from General Motors in Dayton, OH as a tool attendant. He loved fishing, going to garage sales and flea markets, coin and pen collecting, and also belonged to Troy Fish and Game club.
A funeral service will be held at 12:30 PM on Friday, October 8, 2021 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Hill officiating. A visitation will be from 10:30AM until the time of service. Interment will follow at Miami Memorial Park in Covington, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association Miami Valley Chapter, 31 W. Whipp Rd., Dayton, OH 45459. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy. Condolences may be left for the family at www.fisher-cheneyfuneralhome.com .

I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Boyer many years ago. And I had visited him on occasion over the years. Always greeting me with a smile and laughter. He was a great guy and I am privileged for the opportunity to have met him. I give the family my deepest condolences and pray you find peace in your time of sorrow. Rip.
