COVINGTON — Beverly A. Harvey, 82, of Covington, passed away at 1:00 a.m. Sunday, January 24, 2021 at the Piqua Manor Nursing Home. She was born January 29, 1938 in Piqua to the late Glen and Grace (Wells) Bolden. She married Byron Lee Harvey October 5, 1957 in Piqua, a marriage that would span over sixty-three years; and he survives.
Other survivors include a son, Karll (Fang-Yu) Harvey of Huber Heights; a daughter, Deseria L. (the late Alfred) Lewis of Troy; two grandchildren, Tabitha Lewis, Brandon Harvey; a great granddaughter, Makaiya Schaffer; a brother, Robert Bolden of Piqua; a sister, Marlene (Clinton) Mitchell of Bellefontaine; a sister-in-law Ella (Melvin) Humes of Hanover, Indiana; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Leon Bolden, Glen Bolden, Donald Bolden, five sisters, Lilyan Walker, Eleanor Smoot, Harriet Harris, Mary Rockhold, Myrtle Price, and mother-in-law, Geneat Peffley, and step-father-in-law, Arthur Peffley.
Mrs. Harvey attended Piqua City Schools and retired from the ITW-Hobart Brothers Company following twenty years of dedicated service. She was a devout member of St. Mary Catholic Church and had served as a Cub Scout Leader for several years. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She will be remembered for her faith, love of family and friends and her smiling tender personality.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 28, 2021 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Daniel P. Hunt as the Celebrant. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church, 528 Broadway, Piqua, OH 45356. The family wishes to extend sincere appreciation to Piqua Manor Nursing Home.
