Carl Silknitter Obituary

UNION -- Carl O. Silknitter Age 98, of Union, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at his home. He was born September 4, 1923, in Uniontown, Ohio, to his parents Otis Dewey & Edith Mae (Greenhoe) Silknitter. Carl worked as a toolmaker at Frigidaire and later retired from General Motors. He was a member of the Fairview Brethren in Christ Church and enjoyed farming, fishing and hunting, horses and spending time with his family. He will be missed and remembered by his loving wife Donna Lou (Noland) Silknitter; daughter Carolyn Sprowl; grandchildren Christina Silknitter, Adam Silknitter, Heidi Silknitter, Nathan Sprowl, Tina Golden; 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sons Ronald Silknitter and David Silknitter; granddaughter Julie Sprowl.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Monday, June 27, at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami Street, West Milton, with interment following at Fairview Cemetery, Englewood. The family will receive friends from 9:30-10:30 AM Monday at the funeral home. Memories may be shared online at www.hale-sarver.com
