PIQUA - Chris Frederick King, 70, of Piqua passed away at 4:06 p.m. Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at Ohio Hospice of Miami County Inpatient Unit in Troy. He was born on November 20, 1954, in Piqua to the late Fred Lee and Betty Louise (Sexauer) King. He married Mary Ann Butsch on January 18, 1974, in Piqua, who survives.
Other survivors include his son, Kirby (Mary Ann) King of Piqua; his daughter, Kristina (Shawn) Dent of Cincinnati; five grandchildren, Maxwell, Kennedy, Bailey, Nicholas, and Kyle; three great-grandchildren, Grayson, Boston, and Oakley; and two brothers, Steve (Annette) Wesco of Covington and Bruce (Theresa) King of Piqua. Chris was preceded in death by three siblings: Doug Wesco, Sue Carter, and Kathy Bayless.
Chris worked for Premier Health as an IT manager for 25 years. He also worked for Hobart Corporation as a machinist for 23 years. Chris was an avid Cleveland Browns fan and Piqua Indians fan, which he also enjoyed being an assistant coach for Piqua ACMA Baseball for several years. Chris especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and he cherished family gatherings. His family and friends were most important to him. Chris's hobbies over the years also included flying model airplanes and enjoying his Harley-Davidson motorcycles.
A Service to honor his life will begin at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday November 18, 2025, at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Chris's son Kirby as Celebrant. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Monday, November 17, 2025, at the funeral home. To the family. Very sorry for your loss. Knew Chris as kid, grew up together. Then we worked together at Hobart Corporation in Troy.
