BRADFORD -- David "Dave" L. Evans, age 83 of Bradford, passed away Thursday, December 30, 2021 at the Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy. Dave was born in St. Clairsville, OH on September 7, 1938 to the (late) Arrenza & Margaret L. (Leasure) Evans; graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor's Degree of Education; had worked at Carl Reinke Ford, Covington and had previously taught school at Piqua High School; he also owned Evans Auto Sales; loved to read; an avid Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeyes fan; enjoyed NASCAR and was a great fan of Dale Earnhardt; interested in all car races and had previously raced cars himself and worked on other driver's cars and entered races at Shady Bowl, Eldora, and Kil-Kare, just to name a few; he truly loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents; sons, Dean Ganger and John Broughman; and daughter-in-law, Stacy Broughman. Dave is survived by his wife of 36 years, Jean M. Karns; five children, Gina & Rex Willis of Bradford, Gale & Steve Butt of Piqua, Myra Slomba of Bradford, Larry & Lisa Broughman of Venice, FL, and Matt Broughman of Montezuma, OH; 13 grandchildren, Tyler Jackson & Keela, Trenton & Latisha Jackson, Jeffery & Makaley Ganger, Kimber Brown, Wyatt Brown, Steven Butt, Skyler Butt, Cody & Cat Slomba, Lukas & Amanda Broughman, Macy Broughman, Chelsey & Luke Boff, Ciara & Alex Litsch, and Mak Broughman; 16 and one on the way, great-grandchildren. Visitation 2-5 PM Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Bradford. Condolences may be left for the family at www.stockerfraley.com.
