Howard West Obituary
TIPP CITY -- West, Howard Lee age 81 of Tipp City, Ohio passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Hospice of Miami County. Howard was born on November 9, 1940 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Ernie and Annetta {Kimmel-West} Grossman. He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings; Ernastine Stafford, Patricia Zimmers, and Charles "Bud" West. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Sheila {Vulgamore} West, children; Lori (C.J.) Gavin of Massillon, Ohio and Lynn West of Vandalia, Ohio, sister; Sue Bryant of Springfield, Ohio, two grandchildren; Liberty and Brandy, six great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Howard worked as a Tool Maker and Plant Manager for North Dayton Tool. He was a member of the Ginghamsburg United Methodist Church and the Ohio Cruisers. He enjoyed all the cruise-in's and loved all things cars. He was a 4H Advisor and loved driving for Erwin Auto Dealer.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2022 from 10:00-11:30 AM at the Ginghamsburg United Methodist Church, 6759 S. County Road 25A, Tipp City, OH 45371. Memorial Service to follow at 11:30 AM; Pastors Mike Nygren and Mike Slaughter officiating. The family would like to say a special thank you to Ohio's Hospice of Miami County. Contributions may be made in Howard's memory to Hospice, 3230 N. County Road 25A, Troy, Ohio 45373. You may choose to arrive by cruising in your classic car as another way to honor Howard's memory.
