Janie Pinkerman Obituary
CHRISTANSBURG, OH -- Janie S. Pinkerman, age 88, formerly of Christiansburg, OH, passed away on September 16, 2022 at 7:35 a.m. in Indian Lake Rehabilitation, Lakeview, OH. Born on July 18, 1934 in La Fayette, GA, Janie was a daughter of the late Cicero and Mamie (Cordell) Hill. She was also preceded in death by her husband, David Pinkerman, 4 sisters, and three brothers.
Janie is survived by her daughter Vicki L. Pinkerman of Lakeview, OH; sons, Alan Pinkerman (Sue Sharp) of Goodfield, IL, Edward Pinkerman of New Braunfels, TX, and Michael (Beverly) Pinkerman of Virginia Beach, VA. She was a proud grandmother to 11 grandchildren, several great grandchildren. Her sister, Jean Idle of Troy, OH and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members also survive..
Janie graduated from Christiansburg-Jackson High School in 1952. She was s a member of Olivet Chapter #538 Order of Eastern Star, Christiansburg, Ohio for almost 70 years. She was formerly employed by International Trucking, Springfield, OH in the materials dept.
Visitation and funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2022. There will be a time of visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 12: 00 p.m. in the Atkins-Shively Funeral Home, 216 S. Springfield Street, St. Paris, Ohio. Eastern Star services will be held at 12:00 p.m. with funeral services to follow officiated by Pastor Jeremy Spence, St. Paris First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Casstown Cemetery, N. Children's Home Rd., Casstown, OH.
Donations in memory of Janie may be made to Ohio Eastern Star Home, 1451 Gambier Rd., #6, Mt. Vernon, OH 43050.
