TROY -- Joseph Michael Tomasulo, age 77 of Troy, passed away Sunday, September 26, 2021 at his residence. He was born April 5, 1944 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Domenick and Rose (nee Graziadei) Tomasulo.
Those left to cherish Joseph's memory include his wife Monica (nee Weber) Tomasulo, whom he married August 22, 2015; sons Joseph Dominick Tomasulo of Morrow and Andrew Tomasulo (Bhumika Muchhala) of Brooklyn, NY; daughter Vanessa Schroer (Robert) of Fairfield; stepchildren Christopher Beach of Troy and Lauren Pianca (Jerome) of Colomiers, France; grandchildren Amara Muchhala Tomasulo of Brooklyn, NY and Eliana Claire Pianca of Colomiers, France; sister Joan Vele (John) of Myrtle Beach, SC; the mother of his children JoAnn Pleshek (Richard) of Fairfield; and his beloved Goldendoodle, Bentley.
Joseph was a US Air Force veteran of the Vietnam Era and a member of the Troy Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. He was a graduate of Babylon High School in Babylon, NY and went on to receive his Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the New York Institute of Technology in 1966. He worked for Henkle Corp and Cognis Chemicals where he served as Director of Maintenance, Health, and Safety and was also Corporate Director of Engineering. He also worked for the Sinclair Group. Joseph was an avid watch collector and also enjoyed golf and bird watching.
A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family with interment in Riverside Cemetery, Troy. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy. Condolences may be left for the family at www.fisher-cheneyfuneralhome.com.
