FLETCHER - Linda K. (Huffgarden) Redick, age 79, wife of 57 years to the late Roy R. Redick, went to be with our Lord and Savior on October 10, 2025, at The Hospice of Miami County Ohio, after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.
She was born in Dayton, Ohio to the late Alfred Alvin Huffgarden and Neva Uhrig Huffgarden.
In addition to her parents and husband, Linda was preceded in death by her middle son, Bruce Redick of Troy, Ohio, sister Judith (Huffgarden) Kikendall and brother-in-law David Kikendall of Frankfurt, Kentucky.
Linda is survived by her sons, Brian S. Redick (Kim) of Fletcher, Ohio and David G. Linda spent her childhood in Englewood, Ohio up until the time she married Roy, where they lived in an apartment for a short time in Dayton, and then eventually moved to Christiansburg for a few years and then bought a farm north of Fletcher in 1974. This family farm became her home for the rest of her years. She enjoyed gardening, tending to her flower beds, crocheting, sewing, and doing puzzles. In her early childhood she suffered from Polio and was unable to walk for a year. She was determined to walk again and prayed constantly to be healed. God granted her prayer, and she walked again. After graduating from Northmont High School in 1964, she studied at the Dayton School of Practical Nursing where she obtained her LPN license. She then took up work at the Good Samaritan hospital in Dayton, Ohio working in pediatrics, and eventually the Community Blood Bank also in Dayton, Ohio. She eventually went on to work for various doctors in the Troy, Ohio area during the mid-1980s.
Linda also worked as a librarian and a teacher's aide for the Fletcher Elementary School in Fletcher, Ohio during the 1983-84 school year. She attended Casstown and Bethel United Methodist churches through the years. She donated her time and her sewing and cooking skills for various church related fundraisers and missions, as well as for the youth programs and Christmas Candlelight Services at Bethel United Methodist church. Linda sang in the choir for many years at Casstown United Methodist church. She played piano, and loved to listen to Elvis Presley, The Oak Ridge Boys and the Statler Brothers. Linda also enjoyed square dancing with her husband Roy for many years. Linda loved her family and friends. Her family and her time in the Scriptures were important to her. She loved Jesus and missed her husband, Roy. Now she is with them both.

Linda and I could talk about anything.we laughed often about her baby sitting our girls, trying to comb their very long hair before she sent them to school. Linda had 3 boys and had never done a little girls hair. Linda and I were good friends from the day I met her.and married her brother in -law 1973. God be with her boys and family. Love ya Linda
