PIQUA — Linda Joan Rowell, 68, of Piqua, passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at her residence. She was born Sept. 8, 1948, in Greenville, to the late Jacob "J.R." and Mildred (Cunningham) Garbig. She married Timothy A. Rowell on March 2, 1968, in Piqua, a union that would span 49 years, and he survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Mandie (Trey) Frank; a son, Richard (Melissa) Rowell; three grandchildren, Dustin, Sophia, Emma; three step-grandchildren, Alex, Ashley, Austin; a sister, Rose (Richard) Ary; two sisters-in-law, Tammy (Bernard) Palisi and Karen (Danny) Heisler; and her feline friend, Buster-Boy.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard Garbig and Jack Garbig.
Mrs. Rowell was a 1967 graduate of Piqua Central High School. She enjoyed spending time outside swimming, gardening and canning, going to the beach, as well as riding their motorcycle with Tim. She was an avid reader, a fantastic cook and enjoyed shopping. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.
A service to honor her life will begin at 12 p.m. Friday, May 19, 2017, at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Stelvideo Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

With deepest sympathies to you Tim and family. She was a woman of tremendous strength. So understanding and loving. She loved life and she fought hard. Tim you were amazing with her, bless you through this difficult time and may you find the strength to continue, knowing you loved unconditionally.
