Margaret Eileen {Durst} Wells, age 83 of Dyersburg, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, November 12, 2021. Born June 11, 1938 in Dayton, OH to John and Arzella {Bair} Durst. She is preceded in death by her parents and her son in-law, Charles Magness. Margaret is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Franklin Wells, Dyersburg, TN, 3 children, Sherry Magness, South Lebanon, OH, Andrea (Larry) Geist, Hilliard, OH and Brian (Jill) Wells, Newbern, TN. Also surviving are 2 sisters, Carol {Durst} Staup, Huntsville, AL, and Deborah {Durst} Fisher, Tipp City, OH. Margaret loved being a grandmother and is survived by 9 grandchildren; Lauren Magness, Michael Magness, Elijah Geist, Elisha Geist, Noah Geist, Zachary (Katie Lynn) Wells, Katie Wells, Sawyer Wells and Wylie Wells.
Margaret was a 1956 graduate of Bethel High School and later graduated nurses training from Miami Valley. She loved to sew, cook and work puzzles. Margaret enjoyed listening to Frank play his violin. She made many beautiful quilts; spending hours lovingly creating them special for each recipient. Margaret was often found volunteering for the church, making meals to serve others.
In lieu of flowers, a Nursing Scholarship has been set up in Margaret's name. Contributions can be sent to Attn: Karen Bowyer, Dyersburg State Community College 1510 Lake Rd. Dyersburg, TN 38024 with Margaret Wells Nursing Scholarship in the memo/note or online at www.dscc.edu
Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME 327 W. Main St. Tipp City, OH 45371. Memorial service will follow at 12:30 PM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be expressed at www.fringsandbayliff.com
