TROY — Michael D. Behrens, age 61, of Troy, OH passed away on January 20, 2021 at the Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy. He was born on April 29, 1959 in Lakewood, OH to the late Charles Louis Behrens Sr. and Virginia Suzanne (Ransdell) Behrens Frigge.
Mike is survived by his wife of 30 years: Kimberly S. (Smith) Behrens; daughter and son-in-law: Rachel Cummins and Charles Landrey of West Milton; two grandchildren: Sophia Chaney and Charli Jo Landrey; brothers and sisters-in-law: Charles and Brenda Kay Behrens Jr. of Ottoville and Timothy E. and Linda Behrens of Brownsburg, IN; sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Cassy and Jamie Crotinger of Troy and his nieces and nephews which were very much loved.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather: William H. Frigge; mother-in-law: Diana Brandt; father-in-law: Larry R. Smith and sister-in-law: Melissa Downing.
Mike was a graduate of Milton Union High School. He was a member of Union Local #66. He was a lighting designer with the Air Force Museum. He loved his work as a lighting designer and being a stagehand putting on shows. He also loved music of all kinds and especially enjoyed his time with his grandkids and family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Friends may express condolences to the family through www.bairdfuneralhome.com.
