Other survivors include three children, Janell (Rick) Claudy of Arcanum, Mark (Donald Svetich) Johns of Billings, Montana, Joni (Mark) Walker of Piqua; seven grandchildren, Lisa (Marco) Rankin, Laura Donadio, Andrew (Krista) Walker, Jeffrey (Lyndsey) Walker, Allena (Geoffrey Townsend) Walker, Sarah (Jerrod) Depoy, Naryan Claudy; thirteen great grandchildren; a brother, Amos (Carol) Johns of Piqua; and two sisters, Peg Flinn of Beavercreek, and Caroline Langston of Indianapolis, Indiana.

Mick was a 1952 graduate of Houston High School. He was an active and devout member of the Piqua Church of Brethren. He worked for over 40 years in Ford sales with Hardenbrook Ford, Elson Ford, and Buckeye Ford before his retirement. He devoted many volunteer hours to YoungLife in Piqua and enjoyed working with all of the kids. He enjoyed playing golf as well as his part time job at Echo Hills Golf Course and was dedicated to donating blood on a regular basis; so much so, that he had surpassed the 28 gallons donated benchmark.
