Phil Harris Obituary

TROY - Phil Harris, 63, of Troy, Ohio, passed away peacefully Sunday morning Nov. 11, 2012, at his residence following a courageous eight year battle with ALS.
He was born March 24, 1949, in Harrodsburg, Ky., to Clarence Walker and Mary (Turner) Harris, who preceded him in death.
Phil is a retired CPA from Lairds Tax Agency, Springfield.
He was a graduate of Wright State University and attended the Ginghamsburg United Methodist Church.
Surviving Phil are his wife of 32 years Phyllis (Conley) Harris; his children, Shannon Forsythe and his wife Lynne of Troy, Jeremy Harris and his wife Carri of Columbus, Ind., and Kellie Wise and her husband Steven, Arlington, Texas; brother, Larry Harris and his wife Rosa, Dayton; and sister, Teresa Boggs and her husband Ron of New Lebanon; eight grandchildren, Samuel, Gage, Jacob, Karlie, Zachary, Alexander, Barrett and LeAnn. And last but not least his special friend, his dog, Chloe.
Funeral services will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, at Frings and Bayliff Funeral Home, 327 W. Main St., Tipp City. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday prior to the services at the funeral home.
Burial will be held on Wednesday at the Conley Family Cemetery in Wrigley, Ky.
Contributions may be made in memory of Phil to Hospice of Miami County or the A.L.S. Association Suite 221, 1170 Old Henderson Road, Columbus, OH 43220.
